arise, awake and stop not....

i salute the man who revolutionized the perspective of the world with his speech, where he started by saying "sisters and brothers of America!"

he represented India on Hinduism, opening the doors of our cultural thoughts to one and all.

there is something to learn for all of us, from his following inspiring quotes:

“take up one idea. make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. this is the way to success, that is the way great spiritual giants are produced.”

“we are responsible for what we are, and whatever we wish ourselves to be, we have the power to make ourselves. if what we are now has been the result of our own past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act.”

-Swami Vivekananda (12th january 1863 - 4th july 1902)

looking back....

another year has gone by and again we start a journey of learning and experiencing in this exciting new year 2010...

looking back how 2009 has been to me....i see a few remarkable things happened in my life.

at the start of the year, i tried my luck into films with an audition for a film, where i reached till the 2nd round, but as it was not going to happen, the film went on hold for unlimited time, but yeah i discovered my new side into acting and modeling and i'll surely catch up with it in coming years.

aspiring to become an animation artist and a filmmaker, i started my career in a gaming company as a 'flash animator'.i created some cool animations and graphics for games over there and had some memorable time during my tenure. i changed my first job into animation for further advancement into my career.i got an opportunity in another company to work as a 'flash and 3d animator'. it was not into gaming or film making stuff, but what they did was really challenging. our team made some really world class mechanical animations into flash for a US based client. this was a chance to get back to my engineering roots and draw and animate, what i had learn t.i've done some really cool animations to be proud of.

in the second half of the year i learned the art of 'architectural visualization', and i must say it was a far better '3d' learning experience than the previous ones.

with all that, now i can say, i am heading towards becoming a better animation artist, developing an eye for details, with never give up attitude for making it right.interacting with a client has also developed a lot of confidence, and got to know how the work is expected to be, and how communication and coordination is important while executing projects.

well....that was on the professional front... for the life around me...

todays kids develop their brains too fast..they are so smart, entertaining and lovely. my niece 'rama' is going to pre primary school now, so whenever i go home(kolhapur) time flies by within seconds, watching her dance, listening to her jingles and playing with her and then i feel so sad going back to pune.

some of my buddies got married, so enjoyed the time with them and it was fun being nostalgic over our college days and life after coming to pune(yippee...and i am still a bachelor....so a lot more time to enjoy)

over the year i made some good friends at the workplace, and my bond with a few of them grew stronger.

getting back in touch with my animation school buddies and sharing experiences was great, i hope the coming year brings them success in their studies and jobs.

time to look forward now....

wishing you all, a year full of achievements...

yeh mera india

yesterday i watched the film 'yeh mera india' directed by n chandra the director of some great films like 'ankush', 'tezaab' and hilarious comedy 'style' and the sequal to it 'xcuse me'.

YMI had a deep impact on us when we saw it. i was completely taken away by the movie.

Weaving stories of different people in mumbai, putting their beliefs, strengths, love and hatred to test, the director successfully takes the control of your mind. With a couple of in between verses for every situation in the film, the detailed storytelling touches our heart.

YMI shows the reality in which we live, the harsh reality, a common man has to face, a never ending religious war, the politics in the name of the religion, double standards in the behavior of high class people, honesty and betrayal, which makes you think for a while, that is it really difficult to change all this, and make it a better place to live?

if the story, screenplay and the direction are the strong points, so are the performers in the film.

it was a treat to watch seasoned actors like anupan kher, sarika, seema biswas, atul kulkarni, sayaji shinde and rajpal yadav in the same film.

i specifically liked the performances by seema biswas and rajpal yadav.

must watch for every human, every indian.

yeh mera india.....

I Believe

How would you feel? When you believe in someone, and then as the time goes by, you realize; the things are not the same any more.
How would you feel? When your mother tells you to walk, I’ll be there, if you fall; and she says this all the time, but would never hold you, when you need the most.
How would you feel? When you and your colleagues, decide to climb a tough mountain together, but when they start reaching up, they forget you behind.

Got being used as a mere Pawn? Dejected? Betrayed?

Those might be the possible reactions, for the situations; but is that the end of life.

Nah….

Take your Belief and yourself to the next level, no matter the world changes upside down.
At least, she had taken care of us, when we came into ‘this’ world, so what if the mother is not there for you, anymore now.
Though they are ahead or reached the top, forget not, you are not far behind.

Keep Believing, Keep Toddling, and Keep your focus on the ultimate Goal.

So….how would you feel???
Nah…nothing new…… just learnt a new lesson in life and prepared for many more to come.

awaiting for a long time...

awaiting for a long time, when finally it comes.....heart goes on for a ' cutting chai' at tapri n 'garma garam' vada pav..... looking at the people running for shelter, the dog striding all across the road.....the mind refreshes with the soothing smell of the earth, wanting, not just to smell but eat, drink n be it... sipping under the tapris roof, with the warmth of the staming tea.....with the falling drops and the roaring thunders, i go crazy..... thats the magic it brings, when it comes,i wish every day, should be like the first day, when it comes..... when we eagerly await and finally it comes.....
